Renovation of Seaside Residence

Listed Victorian seaside property

Creating a luxury maisonette from an existing apartment.

A substantial reconfiguration, roof extension and upgrade of a Listed Victorian seaside property within a Conservation Area, creating a luxury maisonette from an existing apartment.
Historic building features were carefully conserved & upgraded where necessary and complemented with new kitchens, bathrooms and light fittings. The existing sash and case windows were overhauled with a Ventrolla system to improve efficiency and insulation retrofitted to the building.
Selected internal partitions were removed to create a spacious open plan room living dining kitchen with a new matching window created in the masonry wall to take full advantage of the sea views.
The attic conversion created a new master suite with its own sitting area, kitchenette, dressing room with fitted wardrobes. A special feature was a calming meditation room. Master craftsmen made new floors, staircase, built-in furniture, radiator encasements and sliding doors inspired by Japanese rice-paper screens.
