St. Andrews, Fife
This Victorian town house is secreted away in St Andrews. When purchased by the Client it was in poor condition & badly laid out following various extentions and alterations over the years by previous owners. MWP architects were approached to design & oversee the upgrade of the property to suit its new purpose – a modern, light, open and airy house for the Client & for visiting golfers who come to St Andrews to play its famous golf courses. A comprehensive upgrade programme was implemented including reorganising the spaces & flow of the property. New bathrooms & en-suites were created, roof repaired, rain water goods replaced and a new fold-away glazed screen introduced to connect the living space with the sheltered garden. MWP interior designers dressed the cottage to provide a glamorous, comfortable and relaxed interior that mixes the feel of a club with a comfortable home. The curtains, window blinds, furniture, lighting, door ironmongery, flooring, wall colours, bed dressing, joiner made wardrobes, rugs and carpets, wall and floor tiles and the bathroom fittings were all selected and supplied to create a calm and harmonious atmosphere.
