LIVING SPACE EXTENSION TO HOUSE
The client requested a light and airy kitchen living room extension be formed to their existing early 20th century house. It was important to the Client that the extension be a sociable space and receive sunlight all times of the day. The Client also required a wood burning stove and an immediate link to the garden.
Careful consideration was given to the way the sun moves and windows placed appropriately including large roof lights in the vaulted ceiling extension. A sliding glazed wall opens to an external deck which catches the sun. A handcrafted timber kitchen was specified and fitted. The extension was finished in tiles and painted white render with the eaves height set to match the existing house.
